CLOSEST POLE IN HISTORY. VICTORY UNDER PRESSURE. PIT LANE CLOTHING’S WILLIAMS DELIVERS IN SYDNEY

PIT LANE CLOTHING-sponsored racing driver Kobi Williams has delivered another victory in the 2026 Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia, converting pole position into a superb Race 1 win at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Williams arrived at the penultimate round of the championship carrying strong momentum and immediately demonstrated his pace, securing pole position in one of the closest qualifying sessions in Sprint Challenge history.

The top four were separated by just 0.0605 seconds, with Williams holding off Hunter Robb, Daniel Quimby and Lincoln Taylor to claim the front of the grid.

From pole, Williams went side-by-side with Robb through the opening corner before establishing an early advantage of around 1.4 seconds.

That margin disappeared when the Safety Car was deployed on lap two after Tim Farrell found the gravel at Turn 1.

When racing resumed with just over 10 minutes remaining, Williams again responded immediately. While Lincoln Taylor fought his way into second place, Williams rebuilt his advantage at the front and maintained control through the closing stages.

Williams crossed the line ahead of Taylor and Hayden Haikal, with just 1.5 seconds covering the leading three cars at the finish.

RACING AT THE HEART OF PIT LANE CLOTHING

The result carries particular significance for PIT LANE CLOTHING, with Williams representing the brand as a sponsored racing driver and ambassador.

The relationship between Williams and PIT LANE CLOTHING began following his success in Formula Ford, with the 2025 Australian Formula Ford Champion joining the brand as an ambassador before stepping into Porsche competition. PIT LANE CLOTHING also appears among the official partners of Kobi Williams Racing.

But the partnership represents more than simply placing a logo on a racing driver.

Real competition is fundamental to the PIT LANE CLOTHING brand.

PIT LANE CLOTHING was created around the belief that the credibility of a racing-inspired fashion brand should come from actually being involved in racing. The company uses real racing drivers and the demanding environment of race weekends as part of the way its apparel is tested and developed — with the simple philosophy that if an item cannot stand up to the track, it does not belong in the range.

Williams therefore represents exactly the type of athlete PIT LANE CLOTHING wants associated with the brand: a driver competing at a serious national level, working under pressure and being judged ultimately by performance.

His success also gives PIT LANE CLOTHING something that cannot be manufactured through advertising alone — genuine racing authenticity.

The brand is not standing outside motorsport borrowing its imagery.

It is participating in it.

And Williams' performances throughout 2026 have increasingly placed the PIT LANE CLOTHING name alongside one of Australian motorsport's emerging young drivers.

Saturday's Sydney victory was another demonstration of the qualities that connect Williams and PIT LANE CLOTHING: preparation, precision, concentration and the ability to perform when the pressure is at its highest.

Kobi Williams won again.

And PIT LANE CLOTHING is proud to be part of the journey.
