PIT LANE CLOTHING-sponsored racing driver Kobi Williams has delivered a powerful statement on the streets of Townsville, taking a commanding victory in the opening Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia race at the NTI Townsville 500.
Starting from pole position, Williams was immediately placed under pressure when wheelspin allowed Lincoln Taylor to take the advantage at the start. Williams remained composed, attacked decisively and reclaimed the lead at Turn 3 before taking control of the race.
From that moment, the young Victorian produced a performance defined by speed, precision and complete concentration. Williams managed the unforgiving Townsville street circuit superbly, building a decisive advantage and crossing the finish line more than three seconds ahead of teammate Ryan Suhle.
The result secured an emphatic one-two finish for Tyler Greenbury Racing, with Williams taking the victory ahead of Suhle and Taylor completing the podium in third.
It was Williams’ third victory of the 2026 Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge season, further establishing him as one of the championship’s leading young competitors and a genuine rising force in Australian motorsport.
